Arturo Piacampo Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arturo Piacampo. Passing away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Guelph General Hospital.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Giovanna (nee Aimola), loving father to Carm (Marco), Danny (Pauline), and Silvana (late husband, Christopher) and proud grandfather to Sara, Michael, Paul, Jennifer, Mathew, Nicolas, Curtis, Liam and Sofia. His great-grandchildren, Matteo, Alayna, Alexander, Charlee, Brooklyn and Layla will forever hold his memories in their hearts. He will be missed by all friends and extended family.
Arturo immigrated to Canada in 1959 from Italy. He was very devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends. His passions included gardening, music and wine making.
His family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of the Step-Down Unit at the Guelph General Hospital for their continued support during this past month.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St N. Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. Private family entombment committal service in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association or to the Sick kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
