He was predeceased by: his brothers, Robert Carter (Helen), Charles Carter (Elizabeth) and Donald Carter; and his parents, Donald Weston Carter and Mary Joseph Gabriel Carter (Fox).
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mary Carter; his children, Kimberley Carter, John Carter, Richard Carter (Wanda), Christopher Carter and Catherine Carter; and his grandchildren, Rhyan Carter, Andrew Carter, Nicholas Carter, Felicia Carter, Owen Carter and Drew Carter.
