He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Eileen Carter Stoddard (Thompson); and his siblings, Helen Campbell, Mona Lofthouse, Evelyn Palmer and Jack Stoddard.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Carter (Karen) of Lakefield, Bill Jr (Eren) and Brent (Karlan) of Gravenhurst; his grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie), Carly, Haley (Jason), Jamie (Samantha), Sabrina, Abril, Danny and Sofia; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Liam, Hayden, Nolan, Ryan, Lauren, Elliot and Riley.
