He was predeceased by: his son Tony; and his brother Jim Penick. He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Gravenhurst; his sons, Steve (Debbie) and Paul (Lisa); his daughter-in-law Trudy; his grandchildren, Justin (Alysha), Kristina (Justin Brownlee), Tony (Michelle) and Curtis; and his sister Judy Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to support Algonquin Grace – Huntsville Hospice would be appreciated by his family.
