He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon McDonald and Isabelle McDonald. He is survived by: his spouse Sam McNicoll Pratt; his son David Schell Penwarden; his siblings, Sandra Harding (Edgar), Jim McDonald, Allan McDonald (Kathryn) and Corinne McDonald-Brown (Todd Batley); and his nieces and nephews, Grant Harding, Stephanie Robson, Ashley McDonald, Cameron McDonald, Hillary Brown and Stephen Batley.
