He was predeceased by: his wife Matilda Nurnberg; and his daughter Judy Nurnberg. He is survived by: his daughter Katharine Leeder of West Kelowna, BC; his stepsister Christine Mantler (George) of Woodstock, ON.; his grandchild Jenna Skerratt (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Easton and Lincoln Skerratt.
