It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Allan Abernethy of Gravenhurst, Ontario, who passed away on July 11, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Lia (Invidiata); his children, Jordan (Matthew Johnston) and AJ; his parents, Gloria Hugo and Bruce Abernethy (Diane); his siblings, Bruce Abernethy (Jutta), Blair Abernethy (Caroline) and Julie Dove (Howard); his mother-in-law Elizabeth Invidiata; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Invidiata (Gry), Christopher Invidiata and Lesley Invidiata. He is also survived by Many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In light of the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral is planned.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Taylor Cup in support of Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation - an annual charity hockey tournament that took place on Sparrow Lake and that Al has supported and attended for the past 9 years.
