We bid farewell to Lawrence Kokokopenace in Grassy Narrows, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2024 at the age of 54. Lawrence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Kokokopenace and Elizabeth Kokokopenace; his grandparents, Joseph, Lucy Kokokopenace, Adam and Mary Keewatin; his siblings, Ronald, Bessie, Wayne and Curtis; his brother-in-law Carlo Graham; his uncles, Felix Daniel and Simon Kokokopenace; and his aunt Jessie Assin.
He is survived by: his aunts, Susan Fobister, Eveleen Petiquan, Rita, Brenda and Clara Kokokopenace; his siblings, Sheila (John), Frazer (Ruth), Beatrice (Wayne) and Clayton; his nieces and nephews, Curtis, Kirby, Roderick, Erica, Lynn, Frazer, Matilda, Rutger, Stella, Joseph, Breena, Kimberly, Kayla, Clayton and Kerry; his granddaughter Caidence Necanapenace; and his close friend Carlo. He is also survived by his many cousins and close friends.
A wake was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at the Trappers Building. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
