He is survived by: his children, Clifford Swain (Jackie Swain), Douglas Swain (Rhonda Keesick) and Dallas Swain (Joanne Assin); his sister Velma Geddes of Edmonton; and his grandchildren, Clifford Ashopenace (Christine Strong), Shantell Swain, Callahan Swain, Vladimir Swain (Tabitha Fobister), Kevin Strong (Tina Necanepenance), Violet Shopenace (Keon Fobister), Tammy Loon (Travis Fobister), Roxanne Fobister (Mike Fobister) and Caroline Swain (Sherman Kabestra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
