It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie Corbett of Grand Valley, Ontario, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Marie Corbett to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Bruce and Gladys Bruce (Watt) of Grand Valley; her brother Don Bruce of Toronto; her spouse Reg Corbett of Grand Valley; and her great grandchild Daniel.

She is survived by: her children, Laurie of Grand Valley, Patti (Mike) of Orillia and Andrew of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron, Brandon, Krista (Jason), Matt (Bailey), Nick (Alanna) and Josh (Kayla); and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Cameron, Logan, Zira, Ava and Rosalie-Joan.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to Headwaters Health Care Centre - Operating Room, Lord Dufferin Centre Retirement Residence or Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care Home.

“My name is Barb Proctor. I lived in Orangeville for 30 years and worked with Joan in the OR for many years . She kept us all up to date on local characters and events with her lovely stories I remember that Joan could never be on call Halloween night since fires traditionally got lit on the bridge in front of her house and she would not be able to make it to the OR if called. Joan was a beautiful person and one of my favorite coworkers. My condolences..”
