He was predeceased by: his grandchild Leif; his parents, Joe Clifford and Jean Clifford (Thompson); and his brother Dennis Clifford. He is survived by: his wife Winnifred "Winnie" Elizabeth Clifford (McFarland); his children, Margaret (David Bruggeman), Elizabeth Clifford (Tyler Robson), Joseph (Nicole Clifford), Peter (Maghen Clifford) and Dustin (Emma Clifford); his grandchildren, Bronwyn, Evander, Dawson, Logan, Parker, Lennon, Winston, Foster, Oliver and Baby Robson; his siblings, Lynne (Paul Robb), Nancy (Brian Larocque), Linda McFarland (Conleith), Judy Labelle, Bob (Rose McFarland), Debbie (Robin Moore), Yvonne (Bob Belore) and Becky (John Vigar); and his mother-in-law Margaret McFarland of Woodstock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
