With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Crystal Lee Bender of Grand Bend, Ontario, who passed away on April 2, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Randall "Randy" L. Bender; her children, Mallory MacDonald of Peterborough and Daniel (Stephanie MacDonald); her grandchild Arwyn MacDonald; her parents, Leonard "Len" Henry and Wilma Minlue Anne Cowan (Walters) of Grand Bend; and her siblings, Tony (Sue Cowan), Gary (Linda Bender), Bruce (Marlene Bender) and Gloria Bender of British Columbia. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews.

If desired, memorial donation (payable directly) to Royal Canadian Legion Br 498, Grand Bend Building Fund (for a tax receipt please make cheque payable to Municipality of Lambton Shores with a note for the Grand Bend Legion Building Fund) or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

“Dear Randy and family, Heather and I were so surprised and saddened to hear of Crystal’s sudden passing. We will always remember seeing her ( and sometimes you) walking the park here in Westwinds with her two walking poles. She was always so pleasant to talk to and was always happy to chat anytime you liked! Please know you and your family are in our prayers. Hopefully we will see you again this fall down in Westwinds. We will be making a donation to the RCL of Grand Bend in Crystal’s memory.”
