He was predeceased by: his brother Alex; and his parents, Alex McColl and Janet "Jean" McColl (McCafferty). He is survived by: his wife Dianne Eleanor McColl (Wilkes); his children, Shannon McColl, Abby (Mike Reissner), Cruz, Brock, Kerri and Jason Smiley; his siblings, Barbara, Mike Lorentz of Burlington and Betty McColl of Alberta; and his siblings-in-law, Barry, Phyllis Wilkes of London, Terry Wilkes of Chatham, Debbie McCluskey and Gerard of London. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
