Ilene Hastie Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilene Hastie of Gorrie, Ontario, who passed away on October 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Hastie; her parents, Alex Matheson and Dorothy Matheson (Gammon); and her siblings, Gerald Matheson, Ray Matheson (Doris Simpson), Edith Cameron and Marie Strong (Tom Hastie).

She is survived by: her children, Kevin Hastie, Bev Werth of Listowel, Don, Deanna Hastie of Goderich and Brian Hastie of Gorrie; her grandchildren, Ashley, Shawn Cowan, Jordan, Brandi McLaughlin, Kelsey, Mac Nichol, Jessie Hastie, Josh, Sean Hastie and Erin Hastie; her great grandchildren, Dexter, Molly, Gavin, Alirah and Zaylee; her sister Eleanor Shannon; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Hastie and Marg Finnigan. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or the Huronlea Residents' Council would be appreciated.
