He was predeceased by: his wife Jacqueline McIlmoyle; his daughter Susan Laporte; and his siblings, Barrie (Margaret), George (Gayle), Karen Opperman (Doug) and Beverley Bovair (Bill).
He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Jr., Robert "Bob" and Gilles Laporte; his granddaughters, Melissa (Kurtis), Michelle (Jason), Marianne (David) and Kimberley (Steve); his great grandchildren, Will, Jack, Chloe and Molly; his stepchildren, Dan Fraser (Michelle), Nancy McLeod (Rod) and Kerri Kightley (Joel); and his children, Evan, Isaiah, Colin, Solly and Sam. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 and are greatly appreciated.
