He is survived by: his wife Patti; his children, John "Butch" Elliott (Jennie) and Wendi Allinson (Doug); his grandchildren, Nick (Liz), Brooklynn, Grace, Kaleigh and Ethan; his brothers, Larry (Gail), Bill (Dianne), Bryan (Lori) and Bruce (J. P.); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Swais (Hatem), Linda Ryerse (Bob) and Ron Milne.

Donations may be made to Huron Hospice-Bender House or Royal Canadian Legion Br. #109.
