He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martin and Lillian Martin; and his brothers, George, Murray and Mervin.
He is survived by: his significant other Karin Thurlow; his children, Michelle, Andrew and Kathryn; his stepchildren, Herb, Bruce, Gwyn and Kim; his sister Eleanor Adams; and his niece Cindy.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ontario SPCA gratefully acknowledged.
