He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dagmar Watts and Hans Wendler; his wife Sharon (Whitely); his children, Nicholas, Annalise (Kris) and Adam (Flo); his grandchild Elja Ros; his nieces and nephews, Carly, Heidi Wendler, Alexander, James and Joe Whitely; his uncle Jim Wendler; his brother Arno Wendler (Denise); his mother-in-law Eleanor Whitely; his sisters-in-law, Una Whitely, Lisa Hannan (Mike) and Jennifer York (John); his stepfather Jim Watts; his father-in-law A. G. "Pat" Whitely; and his brother-in-law Brian Whitely.
