He is survived by: his wife Helen (Buffinga); his children, Walter (Betty-Ann) and Grace Gowanlock (Joseph); his grandchildren, Samantha Hamilton (Ethan), Sarah Gowanlock and Ryan Johnston; his siblings, Allan Johnston and Irene Bennett; his siblings-in-law, Peggy Hugill, Don Fischer (Darlene), Albert Buffinga (Mary), Ralph Buffinga (Margaret) and Case Buffinga (Ruth); his parents-in-law, Henry and Grace Buffinga; his siblings, Walter Johnston, Joyce Colyer, Linda Fischer and Shirley Clarke; his brothers-in-law, Keith Clarke and Kelly Bennett; and his nephew David Johnston.
