He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cole and Edna Cole; his son John Cole; and his sister Doris Schilbe (late Albert). He is survived by: his close friend Sylvia Boyd; his wife Ethel (Thomson); his children, Donna of Goderich, Peter Lovell of Goderich and Linda Cole of Goderich; his grandchildren, Melissa (Jamie Harris), Tim and Patricia; his great grandchildren, Colton and Brooklyn; and his sisters, Anna Stirling (late Grant) and Ethel Desjardine Marg (late Wilmer).
