Islay Mae Johnston Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2018, at the age of 90, Islay Mae Johnston (Goderich, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon; her sons, Jerry and Gary (Jim Smale); and her brothers, Murray (Joyce), Gordon, Bob (Joan), Ron, Doug, Pat Whitely, Don Kernighan, Berniece McIlwain (Bill) and Helen Fuller (Charlie).

She is survived by: her daughters, Jo Anne Cowper (Bill), Owen Sound and Judy Johnston-Graham; her siblings, Eleanor Whitely, Marion Kernighan, Donna Bender (Carl), Glenda Gerrits (Joe), Joan Crawford (Bill), Norma Preszcator (Gary) and Jim McDougall (Marlene); and her sibling-in-law Vera Penfound (Lloyd). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
