He was predeceased by: his children, Robert Pennington, Carolyn Pennington, John Johnston and Donald Johnston; and his daughter-in-law Colleen Pennington.
He is survived by: his wife Hughena "Bea" Fern Johnston; his children, Tanya Johnston, Duane Kalbfleisch, William Pennington, William Gower, Garth Sheldon, Beverly Fraser-Whalen and Jerome Hanlon; and his children-in-law, Joyce Pennington and Beverly Jeffery. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial donations made to the Goderich Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
