He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Alfred and Charlotte; his son Todd; his siblings, Renate and Lothar; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Elizabeth De Heer.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sons, Shawn (Shelley), Rodney and Adam; his brother Gerry; and his in-laws, Joanne Vandenbogaerde (Mike) and Dave De Heer (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
