With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerhard Gerdes (Goderich, Ontario), who passed away on December 3, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elizabeth, Hermann, Joe and Angie; and his parents, Herman Gerdes and Angela Gerdes.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Gerdes (Sulh); his children, Marianne McIsaac, Bernie Gerdes (Louise), Fred Gerdes (Annette) and Joe Gerdes (Heather); his grandchildren, Christina Machan (Jared), Kyle Gerdes, Branden Morden, Samantha Maxwell, Heather Martin (Chris), Brittany Morden (Mike), Dan McIsaac (Melissa), Jason McIsaac (Kimberly), Shawna VanOsch (Brad), Kendra Horton and Michael Gerdes; and his siblings, Henry, Annie, Gretta and Maria Bernie.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly make donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
