He was predeceased by: his parents, Brigadier G. L. M. and Edith Smith of Bayfield; and his sister Debby Boyes of Vancouver. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Cathy Linton and Gerry Smith; his sister Sally Koonce; his nieces, Abby Armstrong and Mary Lee Barratt; and his nephew Adam Champ. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
