He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Hall and Grace Hall; his brother Douglas Hall; and his father-in-law Reinhard Rakow. He is survived by: his wife Christine Rakow-Hall; his sons, Richard Hall (Dakota Halfpenny) and Christopher Hall; his brother Brian Hall (Irene); his mother-in-law Maria Rakow; his sisters-in-law, Marlene Hall, Ursula Urso (Pat) and Rosanne Wildeboer (Mike); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jessica, Steven, Ashley, Sean and Alec.
