He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Purdon and Hazel Purdon (Anderson); his sisters, Doreen Rintoul (Gordon), Muriel Moffatt (Lloyd) and Marjorie Roth (Tom); his nephews, Dick Curran, Gary Rintoul and Leroy Rintoul; and his parents-in-law, Webster and Eva Jacklin (McCreery).
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Purdon (Jacklin); his children, Kathy, John Scheeringa of Elmira, Lorie, Kevin Falconer of Blyth, Kendra Purdon and Bruce Cluney of Aurora; his grandchildren, Megan Scheeringa, Devan, Nicole Scheeringa, Jacklin Falconer, Ken McDonald, Orie Falconer, Corine Falconer, Brendan Regier, Lauren, Rachel and Kaitlin Cluney; his great grandchildren, Madison and Miles; and his sisters-in-law, Maxine Jacklin and Nora Kaufman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home on Friday, January 15th, 2021 with Reverend Larry Skinner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton or the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
