He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Arthurton; his son Randy; and his sisters, Marilyn Sterling and Joyce Fnukal. He is survived by: his daughter Pam McDonald (Mark); his grandchildren, Katelynn, Krystal, Kayla and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Emma and Marcus; and his sibling Loris Arthurton (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
