He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi John and Ethel; and his siblings, Eric, Ralph, Lloyd, Vera, Cyril and Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Joan Abbott; his sons, Bob (Kathy), Larry (Vera), Chris (Paula) and Gord (Lorena); his grandchildren, Scott, Ellen, Caitlin, Zachary, Griffin, Ethan, Aidan, Jackson and Katie; his great grandchildren, Carson, Agnes, Chase and April; and his nieces, Linda, Shirley and Wendy.
