He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Rees; and his sibling Dallas (Alpha Larocque). He is survived by: his child Tracy Liddell; his siblings, Cyril (Anne Rees), Wayne (Dorothy Rees), Pam Rees, Fraser (Connie Rees) and Lance Rees; and his close friend Urszula Galasinski.
