She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Madeline Pries and Egmont Pries; her husband Fred; her siblings, Fran, Elaine, Gail and Wayne; her sister-in-law Judy; her children, Steven (Maria Duszczenko), Janet, Brenda and Craig (Tanya); her grandchildren, Sarah Lahaie (Chris), Katherine Sage (Tyler) and Peter Lawrence; and her great grandchildren, Lucien, Marcus, Alexander Lahaie, Isabelle and Penelope Sage. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Merle's name to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation or CASHH (Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills).
