She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bento Borges; her children, Carlos Santo (Agostinha), Joe Santo (Sonia Frias), Nelia James (Dave) and Carla Bilik (John); her grandchildren, Mathew, Michelle, Rebecca, Anthony, Alex, Breana, Emily, Kaitlyn, Benjamen, Lucas and Mason; and her siblings, Anjos and Ana Santos (Joe).
