He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Alessandrini and Elvira Alessandrini. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Jason (Tina), Evan (Shelley), Christine, Nadine (Jake) and Steven; his grandchildren, Milena, Luca, Leah, Daniel, Avery, Liam and Ezra; his sister Silvana Colafranceschi (late Armando); his brother-in-law Ed Simpson (Cheryl); and his mother-in-law Doris Ouellet (Pierre).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society in Joseph's memory.
