He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence May and Gwen May (Mason); his wife Jean Chester May; and his siblings, Leona Ferguson and Bob May.

He is survived by: his children, Larry May (Val), Wendy Robson (Bob) and Susan Grant (Dave); his great grandchildren, John, Julia, Jessica, Jason, Edwin, Wesley May, Graydon, Eoin, Jaxon, Xavier Robson, Matthew, Hayley Swant, Maya and Raine Russo; and also Evelyn Petros.
