She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Cor; her children, Cason (Robyn), Rachel DeWaard (Justin), Leah Rogerson (Lucas) and Elaine Speelman (Jacob); her grandchildren, Elijah, Kiara, Levi, Hayden, Kristin, Alyssa, Joel, Charlotte, Caitlin, Daniel, Hannah, George, Paul, Ryan and Peyton; and her siblings, John Van Hemert (Jean), Harry Van Hemert (Ginny), Alex Van Hemert (Rin), Sara Van Luyk (late Adrian), Irene Vandersteen (John), Nellie VanDyke (Hugh), Audrey Schenk (John) and Jim Van Hemert (Glenda).
