With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valarie Jean Byford (Gananoque, Ontario), who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Valarie Jean had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Valarie Jean may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Stan Asselstine and Jean Asselstine; and her sister Sheila Murphy (Mike). She is survived by: her children, Lisa Miller (Scott) and Ryan Byford (Raymond); and her brothers, Paul Asselstine (Joanne) and David Asselstine.
