He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Simon; and his granddaughter Aria. He is survived by: his mother Caroline Miller; his daughters, Brooke and Emily Simon; his children-in-law, Jerit and Maurice; his stepdaughters, Jade and Harley Nicholl-Carne; and his siblings, Sonja Moore, Benjamin Simon and Corey Haldimand. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made in Shaun's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
