He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Thomas; his son-in-law Peter Small; his grandson Jody Small; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie and Mercedes Loewen.
He is survived by: his children, Sandi Borrett (Dave), Linda Small and Jamie Thomas (Janis); his grandchildren, Shannon (Collin), Tom (Laura) and Leanne McKenzie (Steve); and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Isabel, Holly, Abby, Anna, Avery, Mackie, Pari, Everett and Harvey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
