He was predeceased by: his grandchild Anjeliki; and his sisters, Ellen Marie Schilling (Wolfgang) and Erica Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Ingrid; his children, Sonja (Karagiannis) and Heidelies (Frank Goodman); his grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Mathew and Zachary; and his sister Margaret Gordon (Grant).

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (175 Stone St S, Gananoque, ON K7G2A2). A reception was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
