He was predeceased by: his spouse Vera Gibson; his parents, Walter Burwood and Gladys Burwood; his daughter Deborah; his grandsons, Darryl and James; and his siblings, Ken and Glenys.
He is survived by: his children, Walter (Karen), Spencer (Kathleen), Cheryl Burwood, Bonita Burwood, Lisa Dwyer and Kerri (Robert). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
