She was predeceased by: her spouse Clifford Smith; her parents, Harold Dempster and Mabel Dempster; and her siblings-in-law, Anna and Manley Charland.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret, Brian, Carol, Doug, Harry, Charalee and David; her grandchildren, Georgia (Kyle), Ysabella, Reuben and Lydia; and her great grandchild Declan. She is also survived by her nieces, cousins and many friends.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to Elgin United Church would be appreciated by the family.
