Words of sympathy

Will Dodge wrote a sympathy message

“Jack was one of my first true "outside the classroom" mentors -- I worked with him 30 years ago at Wild Goose Island. His physical strength, his boatman skills, his terrific jokes (esp. telling his PA fisherman charters to look at the bottom of the River for the red line marking the US/Canada border), his devotion to Audrey and the family, and his unshakeable sense of duty and responsibility continue to inspire. Jack embodies the spirit of the River he knew so well. Will miss you, my friend.”
