He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Mayhew and Ella Mae 'Toots Mayhew; and his siblings, Billy Mayhew, Robert Mayhew, Sherry Payne, Bonnie Cannon, Jennifer Clarke and Judy Melarkey (late Garry).

He is survived by: his siblings, Irvin Mayhew, Eric Mayhew and Wanda McLeod (Stewart). He is also survived by his many nephews, nieces, and extended family.
