He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Gidley and Eleanor Gidley; and his wife Jennifer Gidley. He is survived by: his children, Melanie Imrie (Sean), Jennifer Barr (Matthew), Katie Gidley (David), Kristy Gidley (Adam), Carl Raeside (Loretta) and Paul Raeside (Leonora); his grandchildren, Joshua, Kirsten, Isaac, Rachael, Jordan, Claire, Simon, Marissa, Layla, Rhys, Charlotte, Madeleine and Cameron; and his siblings, Owen Gidley, Dennis Gidley (Margaret), Marnie Hope (Ron), Patricia Calwill (Tom), Karen Campbell (late Roy) and Sylvia Bamford (Scott).
