She was predeceased by: her parents, George and Dolly; and her sister Geraldine Courchene. She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, Nathaniel Councillor, Riel Councillor (Kristen), Lynnette Vogel (Jeremy) and George Councillor (Courtney); her grandchildren, Tyrell, Nate, Taytum, Boden, Taylor, Avalee, Jasper, Kato, Brexton and Leighton; and her brothers, Gary Councillor (Lisa) and Darryl Councillor (Sharon). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
