He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Sletmoen and Margaret Sletmoen (Johnson); his brother Ivar; his sister-in-law Alma; and his parents-in-law, John and Ivy Johnson.

He is survived by: his uncle Egil; his wife Sybil Johnson; his brother Robert Sletmoen (Linda); his sons, Darrel (Wilma), Dwayne (Cindy Cameron) and Mark (Aya); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Jurcevic (Mike), Joe Sletmoen (Melissa), Paula Sletmoen, Christina Campagna, Ben Sletmoen (Chelsey Ogden), Laura Sletmoen, Christain Sletmoen (Lora Ngem) and John Sletmoen. He is also survived by six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
