He is survived by: his parents, Gladys Ross (Cooper) and Alexander Ross; his wife Muriel (Yakimischak); his daughters, Kathleen (David Connor) and Janet (John Munro); and his grandsons, Cameron Connor and Malcolm Connor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family gratefully requests that, in lieu of flowers, that in memoriam donations be made in Gordon's name could be made to one of his favourite charities such as Plan Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, the Music Festival or the Knox United Church.
