He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed McLeod and Agnes McLeod; and his siblings, Ernie Bird, Bernard Bird and Marion Bergland.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Ruth, Robin, Erin and Alison; his nephews, Jol and Jake Smith; his wife Betty McLeod; his brother Richard Bird (Rosie); and also, Ian, Jean Montgomery, Stuart and Theresa McIvor Betty.
