He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Canavan and Cecil Canavan. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Canavan; his children, Michael Canavan, Reid Canavan (Katy), Rhonda Rivers (Mike) and Carly Canavan-Larocque (Rob); and his siblings, Richard Canavan (Wendy), Leona Manuel, Sharon Salci (Ted), Janet Canavan and Nancy Tkachuk (Marty).
