She was predeceased by: her sister Mary Monk; and her sister-in-law Cathy Wise. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Sye"; her children, Richard Simons Jr. and Carrie Simons; her grandchildren, Christopher McCarthy and Nikola Maslek; her siblings, Jeannette Armstrong and Ken Wise; her brother-in-law Brian Monk; and her nephew Nathan.
